The childhood perfumery
– Working with skin has been my dream for as long as I can remember , says Marita. – I grew up on Karmøy outside Haugesund. In Skudeneshavn , the small town on the island , there was a perfumery , and I wanted to go there – every single time. And the dream did n’t let go , even though there probably were n’t many people on Karmøy who even knew there was such a thing as a skin care professional in the nineties . Health studies at Hinna was the next stop for the determined Marita, and after that she has n’t looked back . Quite the opposite .

Marita has worked as a skin care professional since she graduated in 2000, and several of her clients from this time have followed her to Stavanger Plastic Surgery. And it is not just satisfied clients and their skin that she has followed with keen eyes . It has been equally important to stay updated , in a profession where something new is constantly happening . Fortunately .
More opportunities – more men on the bench
– Those who want to keep up with the skin care profession will never get bored! There are always new products coming onto the market, from pure herbal series to more medical treatments. Of course, I have to keep up with everything, and stay professionally updated on everything that can help customers. I think that part of what makes my working day exciting is that the offer here at Stavanger Plastic Surgery is so broad and diverse. I am constantly learning something new from all the talented colleagues I have here at the clinic.
– I think it is important that we have a lot to choose from, so that we can help as many people as possible. The breadth of the offer also makes it easier to come in the door here – skincare is no longer just for a narrow group. Not least, it is great to see more and more men coming in the doors to get treatment. A gift certificate for Christmas or a birthday from their better half is often all it takes for them to check out our offer. When they see that skincare is about so much more than makeup and eyebrow plucking, it probably lowers the threshold for contacting us. And that is a good thing – because the truth is that absolutely everyone can benefit from and enjoy skincare. It is about taking care of what is actually the largest organ we have!
