Everyone can basically have surgery. If you are taking blood-thinning medications, these should generally not be used before the surgery. How long this applies depends on the type of medication and must be clarified in advance with our surgeon.
The operation is performed under local anesthesia, which is administered in such a way as to cause the least possible discomfort. We use both the thinnest needles available and a special "anesthetic" in the anesthesia to avoid stinging. The wound is closed with stitches that should give the prettiest possible scar. Moles and suspicious skin changes are always sent for examination by a pathologist. This is included in the price. The procedure usually takes only a few minutes.
If it is a minor change that has been removed, you can do almost anything you want right after the operation. If the procedure is somewhat larger, it may be a good idea to take it easy for a day or two. You will receive information about this at the clinic. Sometimes there are stitches that need to be removed after one or two weeks. This can be done with us at no extra cost, or by a GP or other knowledgeable person. For maximum neatness of the scar, it is important to use tape treatment even after minor procedures. Our surgeon does everything he can to ensure that the result is as neat as possible, so it is important that you also do your part with proper tape treatment.
